Welcome to Little Heath Lodge 5935

This website heralds a new age for Little Heath Lodge 5935. In 2021, with only five members, the lodge was in danger of handing back its Warrant. However, there were many who were determined that this lodge, with such a glorious past, should survive. To this end, many well known brethren pledged their support and joined the lodge. Two new candidates were also initiated at the second meeting following the lodge's revival! The future for Little Heath Lodge 5935 is now exceedingly bright. We have a new Master, Officers and further brethren waiting to join. Even in these Covid times, our dining numbers were almost four score at our third meeting. The surprise menus, which are now a feature of the lodge, are always very well received indeed. This is in no small part thanks to our master Chef, Gary Mitchell.

Little Heath Lodge 5935 was consecrated on the 4th May 1944 to cement the comradeship formed during the the 1939 to 1944 World War.

The Civil Defence, brought into being just before the war started, gave selfless devotion to the civil population. The Home Guard was formed in May 1940, as a result of an appeal for men to defend their country against a possible invasion. These two organisations, with mutual respect and admiration, formed an integral part in the defence of our country. Thus, the Little Heath Lodge stands as a monument to that association. See the Vellum Book for more information.

We meet at the Square at Upminster four times a year.  Regular meetings of the Lodge are held on the second Wednesday in September (Installation), the first Thursday in March & November and the third Thursday in January. However the January meeting is likely to be moved to the second Wednesday.
